Exciting News

I have something really cool to tell you! Remember earlier this summer I said that Aunt Heather and Uncle Jeff are going to have a baby around January 22nd! They just found out on Friday it is going to be a boy and here are some first pictures of him! I can't wait for next summer when they come home for a visit ~ I will be able to teach him a few things, cuz I will be 7 months older!! I am pretty sure we are going to have some good times together

Grandma thinks he might be a piano player with those long fingers, but I think Grandpa thinks they will work just great when he teaches him how to shoot the bow!

Uncle Jeff said it looks like he has the Newcomb chin, but I am just really glad he is healthy and growing and I can't wait to get into mischief with him!

Well, that is the latest news right now. Auntie Em is moving down on Monday and mommy starts school on Tuesday. I think I will like hanging out with Auntie Em and maybe she can add more pictures to my blog!

The Lakes ~ August 24th

Mommy, Daddy and I left for the lake Friday night after daddy was done with work. We had a fun weekend ~ Daddy, Grandpa Ken and even Uncle Craig worked on building a retaining wall near the beach. It looks really cool! Grandma and Grandpa N came to the lake on Sunday too. I have been going to sleep between 8:30 and 10:00, (depending what is one TV that night :-) ) and not getting up until around 5:30, and then I usually go back to sleep after eating. Mommy really likes when I do that! I have started laughing a little bit and smile lots more now!

Granpa caught me still in my jammies, and it is almost noon!!

I am a little bigger now when Grandpa holds me like this!

I am laughing now cuz grandpa is taking care of me.........

...................and mommy is taking care of daddy! He was sore from digging out all the dirt and putting in the bricks for the retaining wall!

Just hanging out with Grandpa N on the couch!

It is good to lean on Grandpa's strong arm!

Grandpa was sharing his magazine with me ~ I like to look at things more now!

Tuesday, August 19th

I have slept the last two nights in my big crib in my own room. I still got up to eat, but I was a good girl and went right back to sleep for mommy! I am also trying to 'talk' more now and I focus on more things around me. I like my swing from Auntie Heather and Uncle Jeff more and of course my jungle bouncy chair from Auntie Jenny!

Mom just wishes she could figure out what I am trying to say! I love my soft quilt from Patti!

That little smirk really keeps people wondering what I have up my sleeve!

Here are my cool pink scrubs that Great Aunt Glory sent me from Florida ~ Isn't she the coolest! Now I can dress just like mommy ~ she let me borrow her stethoscope for the picture. I even have the little bear for a patient!!

I can really sit like a big girl in my scrubs.....on the couch!

This is how mommy found me after a little nap on the chaise chair!

I just had to see what was going on since I had been sleeping!

Don't my eyes look even more blue on my quilt?

This is one of the many cute outfits my friend Brooklyn let me borrow. She was over on Sunday with her parents, and I am catching up to her in length...........well sorta!!

OH man, I just love this tummy time!

Now I am pretty happy laying on my mat! I think this might be one of daddy's favorite outfits from Brooklyn!

Of course, being all cozy after my bath is a favorite of mine! Can't you just smell that bedtime lotion??

Monday, August 11th

Today was the day Auntie Jenny had to fly back to Las Vegas. I am sad that she has to go, but I am so glad that she was able to come and meet me. We had fun together! I am eight weeks old today! When Grandma came back from the airport, we had another photo shoot with me in my baptismal dress! I guess I will do just about anything Grandma asks me to do..............for now anyway!

I think Cassie and Lucy knew Auntie Jenny was leaving too!

Jenny was getting in her last squeeze time with me!
This is me with my cake. I am also wearing the necklace that my mommy wore at her baptism.

How is that for a big smile!

I was a pretty happy girl!

Oh mommy, do I need to wear the bonnet too?

OK, just fine then!!

I guess it is not so bad!

That is the bracelet from Grandma and Grandpa N I am wearing.

Grandma says she remembers how special she felt when she wore this dress at her wedding!

Oh but Grandma, this is so much more comfortable! The afghan is a gift from Great Auntie Jeanie and Great Uncle Geno!
Yup, this is what I am talking about!!

Oh man, I just love my mommy's milk!!

Patti came over with a quilt she made especially for me! She made a dress for my mommy and a tie for my daddy for their senior prom! Isn't she a talented gal!

This is my last bath at Grandma's, tomorrow I will be heading back home!

Baptism Day

Today was a very special day for me and my loving family. I was a very good girl during Mass and even during my baptism afterwards. Grandma N had Senora use her wedding dress to make my dress and bonnet, and it was actually pretty comfortable! It turned out to be a very nice day outside too, so it was nice when everyone came to celebrate and eat at Gram and Gramp N's!

Here I am with mommy, daddy, and my Godparents Jenny and Bill, along with Father John.

I didn't even cry now!

Father John is showing me off!

A couple more pictures with mommy, daddy and my Godparents.

Here I am with Grandma and Grandpa I.

Now Grandma and Grandpa N joined the photo!

This is one of my 4 generation pictures with Great Grandpa Sidney, Grandma Nancy, mommy and me!

Now I am in a 4 generation picture with Great Grandpa Ken, Grandpa Ken, daddy and me!

Now all the great grandparents got together, Janis, Sid, Iris and Ken!

Grandma Nancy is putting on my bonnet, but I am not sure I am gonna like this!

I am starting to get a little tired of all these cameras and flashes!

I really was a pretty girl! I even had a bracelet with a cross on it and my mom's cross necklace that she wore when she was baptized.

Here is the pretty cake that Senora made for my special day!

Oh Grandpa, I am just so tired!

Here are great family friends, Hannah, Terrie, Sam and Brent! My mommy used to watch Sam when he was little like me and look how tall he is now! He was the ringbearer when Mommy and Daddy got married!

This is mommy's good friend Amanda, along with her daughters Addie and Avery.

Auntie Jenny is sneaking a cuddle with me!

Cousin Laurie was holding me and I managed to have my first 'plumber butt' picture!!

This is Rita, and she is a very good friend of my Grandma Nancy's!

It has been a long day, but lots of fun! Now I am just hanging out with Marcus and Auntie Em!
